@mathgrant if its a true repentance then yes God will forgive the nazi.

2020-11-09 15:55:29 UTC

But with how hard you would have to make your heart to do some of the horrible things that they did I don't think there's many Nazis that would become Christian

2020-11-09 15:55:59 UTC

It's kinda tough when "Nazi" is a neologism and therefore not found in the Bible. Race relations in the Bible weren't between white-skinned people and black-skinned people, but between Jews and Samaritans, for example, and as I recall, Jesus wasn't a racist regarding that. So blatant racism is definitely unbiblical.

> Oh my goshhhhh I didn't know E Rob was a member as well ahhhhhh
@HUNTER4639 haha is that a good thing or a bad thing?

2020-11-09 15:58:57 UTC

Between God allowing me to become a furry and later to become a bisexual (unlike most alphabet people, I refuse to say I was "born this way", but the influence of furries, including many who identify as Christian but who behave just like other furries while wearing cross necklaces, made me this way), my stint of acting like a neckbeard on Reddit, and my supposedly being a Nazi, feeling like God can't possibly love me anymore has been my biggest obstacle back to religion, even as I begrudgingly admit that Christian apologists have interesting points (but that's outside the purview of this channel).

2020-11-09 16:01:03 UTC

Even from a neckbeard perspective, I admire the Christian ideas of repentance and forgiveness. An unwillingness to forgive certain kinds of bad behavior will only lead to a doubling down of that bad behavior, as the person doing it realizes he/she gains more respect from other bad people by being bad than from the good people he/she wanted to win over, but no longer can.

2020-11-09 16:02:15 UTC

It is better for society that repentant people who do minor bad things be allowed to build their reputations back by doing good things that for them to be permanent pariahs. So I really admire the "forgiveness" thing that Christianity promotes.

2020-11-09 16:02:49 UTC

I believe that if you approach God with an open heart and are willing to do what He asks you to do, He will forgive you.

2020-11-09 16:03:22 UTC

I have not much to contribute, honestly.

2020-11-09 16:03:44 UTC

Yeah i never really understood the whole "no forgiveness" thing that exists in some places, it doesn't seem like something that would work out for humanity or something that God would want

2020-11-09 16:03:48 UTC

Oh, I found one thing yesterday that relates!

2020-11-09 16:04:00 UTC

Atheist christianism is a thing.

2020-11-09 16:04:08 UTC

And I'm honestly interested.

2020-11-09 16:04:26 UTC

how? lol, it seems kinda against itself

2020-11-09 16:04:49 UTC

People that follow christian teachings as their own thing.

2020-11-09 16:05:08 UTC

The Bible to them simply was written by many people with different names.

2020-11-09 16:05:16 UTC

All is a big metaphor, not actual events.

2020-11-09 16:05:36 UTC

But they choose to follow it because they think they are good

2020-11-09 16:05:50 UTC

Without believing in God

2020-11-09 16:05:52 UTC

so they're people who follow the morals in the Bible but don't believe in God?

2020-11-09 16:05:56 UTC

Yes

2020-11-09 16:06:02 UTC

okay then theyre technically not christian

2020-11-09 16:06:03 UTC

More or less

2020-11-09 16:06:05 UTC

With that point of view God is whatever we make him if there's no written text that he left us

2020-11-09 16:06:47 UTC

bc Christians are people who believe that Christ is our Savior and the Son of God

2020-11-09 16:06:54 UTC

and all that

2020-11-09 16:09:20 UTC

Welp, do you have a better name that atheist christian?

2020-11-09 16:09:22 UTC

😆

2020-11-09 16:09:43 UTC

atheists with good morals

2020-11-09 16:09:51 UTC

A moral atheist

2020-11-09 16:10:02 UTC

Ok, seems fair.

2020-11-09 16:10:27 UTC

I myself could be that

2020-11-09 16:10:34 UTC

I'm a theist at best

2020-11-09 16:11:11 UTC

Using reason, not faith, I can reach the conclusion that a God is plausible.

2020-11-09 16:11:28 UTC

The principle of causality, for example.

2020-11-09 16:11:37 UTC

But that's about it.

2020-11-09 16:12:19 UTC

well, at least youre not denying God

2020-11-09 16:12:51 UTC

leaves you open for future conversion \;)

2020-11-09 16:14:50 UTC

> okay then theyre technically not christian
@E Rob They're still more Christian than your average Christian furry 🦊

2020-11-09 16:15:27 UTC

lolll

2020-11-09 16:16:07 UTC

Ok, we gotta make a christian hierarchy.
