They gave the pope power to change the bible

2020-12-06 23:20:29 UTC

Catholics read the Bible. They memorize passages from it.

2020-12-06 23:20:43 UTC

A power that he shouldn't have

2020-12-06 23:20:59 UTC

Every religion has their faults; I find it much easier to look at the best of each.

2020-12-06 23:21:13 UTC

Never seen the pope changing the Bible

2020-12-06 23:21:33 UTC

Look up the catholic 10 commandments)

2020-12-06 23:21:48 UTC

Oh maybe I was wrong

2020-12-06 23:21:55 UTC

One person can’t define a whole church

2020-12-06 23:21:57 UTC

Its different and allows them to worship false idols

2020-12-06 23:22:39 UTC

One person’s actions *

2020-12-06 23:23:08 UTC

2020-12-06 23:23:46 UTC

You have not read the 10 commandments

2020-12-06 23:24:48 UTC

“I am the Lord thy God; thou shalt not have any stranger gods before me” - from Catholic 10 commandments

2020-12-06 23:25:07 UTC

Hmm stranger very vague

2020-12-06 23:25:08 UTC

The Pope just represents Catholicism, he’s not our God

2020-12-06 23:25:36 UTC

And they got rid of making carven images

2020-12-06 23:25:38 UTC

Stranger meaning unknown, unrecognized, or unworthy of recognition

2020-12-06 23:25:48 UTC

2020-12-06 23:26:11 UTC

And made covet possessions and wife 2 commands

2020-12-06 23:28:42 UTC

I stepped away to do something before adding a follow-up to my question to clarify why I'm asking... And I see a river of a comment chain. My clarification, I'm non-denominational, I was, in many ways, a lukeway Christian. Until I had listened to some of CS Lewis's works, I simply went through the motions. He was an Anglican Christian. Tolkien was a Catholic. Many Apologists adhere to different doctrines. I don't understand how different Christians, as long as they adhere to the divinity of Christ and follow God's law, could be seen as heretical. Some of the staunchest defenders of the faith were Catholic (Crusades). Others, as I said were Anglican (Lewis).

It helps if you go straight to the actual source rather than picking up pieces from the internet.

2020-12-06 23:28:50 UTC

You Protestants are really disrespectful

2020-12-06 23:29:17 UTC

Towards Catholicism

2020-12-06 23:29:47 UTC

I am not meaning any disrespect

2020-12-06 23:30:03 UTC

I am simply giving the truth of what they do and have done

2020-12-06 23:30:47 UTC

But not necessarily the whole truth. Just the parts that you know. And most people only bother with the dark sides of different religions while holding their own on a pedestal.

2020-12-06 23:31:25 UTC

Are you saying that the Protestants respect a lot Christianity ???

2020-12-06 23:31:51 UTC

What do you mean?

2020-12-06 23:31:52 UTC

Stop trolling

2020-12-06 23:31:54 UTC

Your pedestal is seeming to be yourself. You’re putting everyone else down. 🤷‍♀️

2020-12-06 23:32:06 UTC

He’s trolling

2020-12-06 23:32:28 UTC

And he’s stupid too

2020-12-06 23:32:36 UTC

Corny you bring others by love not by chastising them to hate

2020-12-06 23:33:21 UTC

Will God reward impatience?

2020-12-06 23:33:25 UTC

If you hit a dog, it won’t make it want to listen to you

2020-12-06 23:33:27 UTC

Then you are lost. You are the brother of the prodigal son.

2020-12-06 23:33:46 UTC

If they’re like you, I understand better why Protestants were hunted from europe

2020-12-06 23:34:11 UTC
