Hint: now he's a Christian
@qwerty_😎 I read his book about 4 years ago, it was so great! Have you read his book?
I watched his documentary based on the book.
Ah ok I don’t think I watched that, or maybe if I did I just forgot 🤔
It's now on youtube "The Green Prince"...from his book "Son of Hamas".
Is belif not a matter of choice, but of conviction?
Trusting in Jesus is a choice but as I have progressed with my relationship with Jesus it’s starting to seem more like second nature.
This is the book that brought me to Christ, it talks about the characteristics of a godly man.
I’m here
Hmm they can't have authority in heaven
What up
Only juses
how do we even know that saints exist? they are sinners, just like everyone else, and and they are equally deserving of God's wrath
Only Jesus and God can hear prayers
Jesus is the moderator and god the father is the judge
Their is literally a bible verse that says NO ONE can come to the father but through Me aka Jesus christ
Saints are an earthly ideology. No man has ever been sinless other than Jesus
Give froshe time to respond lol
I can tell you what I believe but I’m really not in a mood to be attacked for my beliefs. I can see we have different views and I’m happy to clarify what’s different, but let’s please be respectful 🙂
I don't see any attacking. Only conversation
Same
If no one is insulting a person personally then there’s no attacking, just arguing/debating
Hey remember when Jesus says "who is without sin cast the first stone" and the priest were near him
It’s cause the Pharisees were hypocrites
They said to follow the laws but they themselves did not
Democrats are modern day Pharisees
So true
The dems are anti religion
Ok. So I believe in a communion of saints in heaven. Just as we are uplifted and strengthened but a faithful community on earth, I believe the same is true in heaven. The saints act as vehicles to help understand god and his will, not as objects of worship. I don’t believe that praying to saints is blasphemous or in contrary to the commandment to not put false gods before my lord because I do not think the saints are gods. Just as I would ask a friend to pray for me, pray for a sick family member, or pray for an end to abortion, I ask the saints to intercede for me. Though they were not perfect on earth, they are made perfect in their ascension to heaven- nothing impure enters heaven, which is why I believe in purgatory- an opportunity for purification and redemption before entering heaven. Questions?
Why have purgatory when you have an entire life to get saved?
Well you can't pary after death, saints have no power at all they are just like me and you
There no such thing there is even a verse that says you can't pray after death so saints can't ethier they are human not superior humans they are regular humans
Pray* lol
Opps
I haven’t read anything in the Bible about saints being special, except maybe Elijah getting taken to heaven
Because humans are imperfect. There is impurity that seeps into even the most perfect lives. I believe that god is ever merciful. Purgatory is a place where those who have been unable to go to confession or do penance for all their sins can be purified and forgiven before entering into heaven. I believe it is honestly a sign of justice. God forgives humans- those on deaths row and those with near perfect lives. If they truly seek the kingdom of heaven, I believe it is more just that they are in purgatory and do penance as god sees fit before entering the kingdoms heaven.
what does "saint" even mean
Even then, he isn't any different
well, purgatory is a catholic church invention
