Josephus didn't believe in God. He just saw with worldly eyes the Pharisees and Sadducees. Biblically, Pharisees and Sadducees were supposed to be spiritual leaders.

2020-12-29 02:50:33 UTC

That is my point

2020-12-29 02:51:04 UTC

I am done with this convo for now

2020-12-29 02:51:41 UTC

i never said he was a believer but he did write about the things jesus did, and yes, originally they should have been spiritual leaders but they werent

2020-12-29 02:51:53 UTC

yeah me too this is pointless

2020-12-29 03:07:31 UTC

Yeah, i think so too, alla's demeanor is so different.

2020-12-29 03:08:53 UTC

it cant be the same God since the quoran even says "if there is a jew hiding behind a stone pray that thr rocks speak to tell you so you may kill them"

2020-12-29 03:09:06 UTC

(paraphrasing)

2020-12-29 03:09:51 UTC

So I’ve heard that Muslim people think he is the same as the Christian God, but I don’t think Christians think so since they don’t believe in Islam.

2020-12-29 03:10:57 UTC

I noticed it too... give jews the ten commandments then order other folks to kill them?

2020-12-29 03:16:09 UTC

I think they got the wrong "isa" (they claim is Jesus), they got the linneage wrong. In their quran, their allah gets the linneage wrong, by stating that "isa" is the nephew of moses (son of miryam, daughter of harun/aaron).

2020-12-29 03:16:40 UTC

The bible is very meticulous about linneages.

2020-12-29 03:17:25 UTC

No i don’t think Allah (I thought there was an h) is God. I just understand that Muslims think he is their go’s

2020-12-29 03:17:28 UTC

God*

2020-12-29 03:28:55 UTC

We're trinitarians it's what unites us (christian), we believe in the triunity of the father, son and holy spirit. When islam implies "same god" then gets one of the trinity wrong (such as the linneage of Jesus), the whole house of cards (implying having the same "god") falls apart.

2020-12-29 03:38:39 UTC

I agree with that

2020-12-29 03:46:43 UTC

One thing that boths me with the Qur'an is how Muhammad says "we" when referring to him and God

2020-12-29 03:46:46 UTC

Like dude

2020-12-29 03:46:55 UTC

You are not God

2020-12-29 04:07:01 UTC

I'm sceptical if allah is even a god...he asking for a loan in his quran. The mainstream translations say the same thing. 🤔 👇

Yeah, I need to find the copy I have and find the verses that really concern me

2020-12-29 05:53:15 UTC

For sure

[6] A wise man
is not showy about his wisdom;
he guards it carefully.
He is silent when he comes
to a stranger’s home.
The wise man seldom wanders into harm,
for you can never have
a more faithful friend
than a good supply of wisdom.

2020-12-30 04:59:52 UTC

Oh sorry, I just liked it

2020-12-30 05:00:35 UTC

Why not two verses of the day?

2020-12-30 05:00:49 UTC

Hey, don't apologize.

2020-12-30 05:00:51 UTC

Everyone could use a little more scripture in their lives

2020-12-30 05:09:32 UTC

amen

2020-12-30 05:14:06 UTC

This is from the Book of Mormon, one of the books of scripture in my religion. Even if you don't believe in it as a legitimate book of scripture, I think this is at least good advice still.

2020-12-30 05:18:38 UTC

My quote was also from the BOM

2020-12-30 05:25:22 UTC

I thought I recognized the font from gospel library XD

2020-12-30 05:27:52 UTC

Same.

2020-12-30 05:29:34 UTC

I figured it was from the gospel library, but didn't realize it was from the BoM. That was more of a disclaimer for people who don't recognize the BoM.

2020-12-30 05:30:03 UTC

What are your guys' favorite verses?

2020-12-30 05:31:22 UTC

Mine is Alma 41:10.

Ephesians 1:3-14

2020-12-30 05:33:33 UTC

Praise the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavens. For He chose us in Him, before the foundation of the world, to be holy and blameless in His sight. In love He predestined us to be adopted through Jesus Christ for Himself, according to His favor and will, to the praise of His glorious grace that He favored us with in the Beloved. We have redemption in Him through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace that He lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding. He made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure that He planned in Him for the administration of the days of fulfillment — to bring everything together in the Messiah, both things in heaven and things on earth in Him. We have also received an inheritance in Him, predestined according to the purpose of the One who works out everything in agreement with the decision of His will, so that we who had already put our hope in the Messiah might bring praise to His glory. When you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and when you believed in Him, you were also sealed with the promised Holy Spirit. He is the down payment of our inheritance, for the redemption of the possession, to the praise of His glory.
Ephesians 1:3‭-‬14 HCSB
