The mustang died on me today while I was out in town, wiggled the terminal and it came back to life. Cleaned the terminals when I got home and it seems to be okay but the negative terminal is kinda loose so I may pick up some new ones soon

2020-10-03 03:45:02 UTC

2020-10-03 03:45:38 UTC

I suspect that someone cobbled this engine together in around the late 80s

2020-10-03 03:46:06 UTC

yeah. that holley thing sure isnt factory lol

2020-10-03 03:46:16 UTC

blue block

2020-10-03 03:46:48 UTC

doesnt the color of the block tell people the size of it?

2020-10-03 03:46:52 UTC

No

2020-10-03 03:47:18 UTC

Up until around 1974 or so chevy painted their engines orange, then they switched to blue. In the 80s they switched again to black

2020-10-03 03:48:32 UTC

i thought it was for the size because i have seen orange 427's. never seen a blue block till now

2020-10-03 03:48:55 UTC

Someone painted this engine the GM corporate blue color

2020-10-03 03:49:54 UTC

that is a nice blue

2020-10-03 03:50:09 UTC

I bought braided stainless blue rubber plug wires to match it

2020-10-03 03:51:21 UTC

2020-10-03 03:51:49 UTC

It's a dying art

2020-10-03 03:52:25 UTC

Hotrodding, manual machining, mechanical diesels, the old school stuff is all a dying art

2020-10-03 03:53:01 UTC

yeah efi and the computer stuff has taken over everything

2020-10-03 03:53:06 UTC

If anything ever happens that sets us back 60 years in technology, people like you and I will be kings

2020-10-03 03:53:24 UTC

2020-10-03 03:54:06 UTC

The dude who knows his way around the stock market? Useless, post-SHTF

2020-10-03 03:54:24 UTC

2020-10-03 03:56:04 UTC

Even in a barter economy, practical skillsets from back in the day will make you a very rich man

2020-10-03 03:56:12 UTC

really one of the only things i dont care for when it comes to cars is the wiring

2020-10-03 03:56:15 UTC
