as a fan of detailing myself, I can appreciate the work on this mecha

nice use of only back and white

2020-07-29 02:17:16 UTC

The universe my ships are in has gravity control. It's a side effect of the FTl drives. The older ships I create are closer to current tech; the newer ones get further away as the tech advances.

2020-07-29 02:18:20 UTC

The stock version of those is from 2286 up.

the black and whites are often more cool than the colored fully shaded ones

2020-07-29 02:46:23 UTC

They're cleaner at times, and you can fill in the colors mentally.

2020-07-29 02:48:20 UTC

Okay, this is my oldest regular tech ship from my universe. Circa 2122.

Starflare FuelMaster refueling and processing ship.

2020-07-29 02:49:18 UTC

I like the eclectic designs

2020-07-29 02:49:38 UTC

Thanks. They reflect the changing tech over the centuries.

2020-07-29 02:50:08 UTC

you really thought it through, you have living space and crew commodities thought of

2020-07-29 02:50:31 UTC

specs are a cut above the generic plans

2020-07-29 02:50:47 UTC

This is designed to be a scoopship, gathering and compressing gases from the Jovian planets for use in the solar system. No gravity, no landing gear, no FTL.

2020-07-29 02:50:59 UTC

ye ye i can see that happenin'

2020-07-29 02:51:10 UTC

made to just wander and gather

2020-07-29 02:51:18 UTC

The circles underneath are globular storage tanks.

2020-07-29 02:51:28 UTC

ye ye it's well thought of, mate

2020-07-29 02:51:33 UTC

Thank you.

2020-07-29 02:51:39 UTC

well you deserve it

2020-07-29 02:51:50 UTC

it's well layed out

2020-07-29 02:52:25 UTC

In my main universe, WW III hits in 2069. Earth rebuilds, then runs into hostile aliens in 2143.

2020-07-29 02:53:06 UTC

We learn from their tech, and that's where humanity *really* starts expanding.

2020-07-29 02:53:30 UTC

69

2020-07-29 02:53:33 UTC

meme year

2020-07-29 02:54:05 UTC

"where were you when the big war of 2069 started?" - old veteran

2020-07-29 02:54:37 UTC

LOL I was just shooting for a mid-range year. I started writing this stuff in the 80's.

2020-07-29 02:54:52 UTC

it happened and it's a cool number

2020-07-29 02:55:01 UTC

before all the meme, 69 was a good year

2020-07-29 02:55:21 UTC

2143

2020-07-29 02:55:43 UTC

it's just far enough to be credible

2020-07-29 02:56:09 UTC

I have the universe timeline plotted out into the 2800's.

2020-07-29 02:56:19 UTC

d-damn...

2020-07-29 02:56:43 UTC

I've had a *lot* of time to work on this.

2020-07-29 02:58:19 UTC

And it's one of many universes I've created.

2020-07-29 03:01:23 UTC

I don't use the term worlds, because a lot of them have multiple worlds in them, and the terminology gets confusing.
