so I would say "hey" maybe go "TSSSSS" at him, or grab him gently by the scruff, without yanking your hand away

and yeah, toys might be better if he gets carried away all the time

yeah, i have one thats a catnip flavor one and some old basket yarn

and when he starts getting rough, you stop playing immediately for the time being. because continuing sends the "okay, nothing wrong here"

Yeah try something like that, my cat loves beating up her little string thing

get him a big thing he can grab on and attack and all that, like a stuffed animal but one of the toy kinds thats actually tough. then he can grab on to it and all that lol.

if he doesnt stop, you need to grab him by the scruff so you can separate yourself, get a spray bottle for some water if he REALLY gets bad.

but he gets scared when i play, i shake my hands down his side only brushing his fur gently and he looks at me like "wtf" and leaves

ignoring can help, or gently petting him and saying "no" if he tries to get rough

just try to calm him.

my old cat let me rub his belly like a dog, but he did NOT like being picked up in anyway, at all. not if it was comfortable, not if it gave him more control, just not at all. but I could rub his belly all day long.

he likes it sometimes on the belly, if i pet his back he'll roll over and purr very loudly, othertimes he thinks its plaign

yeah, seems he has a hard time separating pets and play. probably didnt get a lot of time with siblings when he was a kitten

i got him at 5 months, and hes always been really nice and open, but not to dogs. he hates dogs

sometimes its either a bad experience, or absolutely no experience with dogs that can make them like that
