And a lotta asians are smart but arent confident

2020-07-20 21:51:43 UTC

I think everyone regardless of intelligence level can always learn a thing or two

2020-07-20 22:04:38 UTC

That was a perfect launch

2020-07-20 22:07:02 UTC

Yeap. And perfect landing of stage 1

2020-07-20 22:07:12 UTC

Musk ftw

2020-07-20 22:08:17 UTC

We finally are getfing really good live shots from the ASDS

2020-07-20 22:08:29 UTC

Heard they upgraded the system

2020-07-20 22:09:08 UTC

Usually the dome antennae tracker struggles to maintain satellite lock, I'm curious what type of new system they're using

2020-07-20 22:09:51 UTC

Okay now just waiting on twitter for Ms. Tree and Ms. Cheif

2020-07-20 22:10:03 UTC

Hope they net the fairings this time

2020-07-20 22:13:15 UTC

they might be using starlink now

2020-07-20 22:14:52 UTC

Hmmm maybe but the issue with the the camera relay system wasn't satellite speed

2020-07-20 22:15:05 UTC

No server advertising

2020-07-20 22:15:10 UTC

It was the satellite tracker onboard the ASDS

2020-07-20 22:15:44 UTC

Because to get HD video relayed, it has to use a point to point based transmission relay

2020-07-20 22:16:26 UTC

And there's a antennae tracker onboard to do that, but vibration make it struggle to keep a lock on the satellite

2020-07-20 22:17:06 UTC

So I would assume they found a way to relay video transmission via a omni directional antenna? Either way very impressive

2020-07-20 22:18:11 UTC

But yes, wouldn't be surprised if they use starlink for the telemetry

2020-07-20 22:20:35 UTC

Fairings have been captured!

2020-07-20 22:20:39 UTC

Picture isn’t great, but I watched the launch from Cocoa Beach

2020-07-20 22:20:56 UTC

Whoa that's so cool

2020-07-20 22:20:59 UTC

Also nice!

2020-07-20 22:22:17 UTC

You could really hear and feel the rumble of the rocket

2020-07-20 22:22:23 UTC

It was awesome

2020-07-20 22:22:45 UTC

Yes!!!!

2020-07-20 22:22:48 UTC

History

2020-07-20 22:23:00 UTC

Yes baby they got em both yeet!!!!

2020-07-20 22:23:43 UTC

It’s great to know that we’re watching history happen

2020-07-20 22:24:00 UTC

I wonder what upgrades they'll do to the fairings. New fairings are really cool with the aluminum tips, rcs, and chutes. They're practically spaceships of their own

2020-07-20 22:25:57 UTC

Dude, fairing surfing sounds like an extreme sport

2020-07-20 22:26:25 UTC

Haha

2020-07-20 22:26:32 UTC

I saw close ups before

2020-07-20 22:26:46 UTC

And they use spread tow weave carbon fiber!

2020-07-20 22:27:31 UTC

It looks so cool! My rockets use twill weave, but spread tow sure weave carbon fiber sure gives the more "aerospace" feel

2020-07-20 22:27:57 UTC

I believe they use spread tow on the landing legs too, along with alumnium honeycomb for the insides

2020-07-20 22:28:25 UTC

Either way, it was a pitty seeing those practically handlaid carbon fiber fairings being thrown away

2020-07-20 22:31:10 UTC

This has been a surprisingly active channel. Good to know there are a lot of fellow av geeks out there.

2020-07-20 22:35:13 UTC

Absolutely
