Um sure if orbital rocket companies were talking great about hybrids and saying its better, you could push the arguement that they're overrated

2021-01-02 17:05:00 UTC

@Tack your sole arguemnt is efficiency. Sure in terms of efficiency hydrids ain't the best. However the ease of acess to resources and lower cost makes hybrid appealing to amateur rocketeers.

2021-01-02 17:23:17 UTC

Well, my main argument was that hybrids are just as complex as liquids, with almost none of the advantages (other than throttleability)

Same A320 with a 777 behind it

2021-01-02 18:23:28 UTC

That ain't true. You quoted the complexity of a liquid and simplicity of a hybrid in the video and never directly stated that. That's also almost word for word what Charlie Garcia said

Snow behind the LAX approach

Chonk

2021-01-02 22:23:51 UTC

There was an all white Atlas 747 at LAX yesterday but I didn't see them take off

2021-01-02 22:23:55 UTC

:(

queen of the skies

2021-01-03 01:30:51 UTC

Yeah

2021-01-03 02:13:25 UTC

And the A380 is the king

2021-01-03 02:13:30 UTC

The 225 the god

2021-01-03 02:32:50 UTC

Lol

2021-01-03 02:46:43 UTC

I doubt there will ever be a bigger plane than the 225

2021-01-03 02:47:05 UTC

It's been surpassed in wingspan but nothing else

2021-01-03 02:49:00 UTC

As engines become more efficient, we might see some large aircraft but they might be the size of the AN124 at most

2021-01-03 02:51:24 UTC

The 777X is probably going to be the last jumbo jet

2021-01-03 02:51:33 UTC

At least for a while

2021-01-03 03:06:41 UTC

I hope not, but... you are most likely correct :(

2021-01-03 03:07:00 UTC

2021-01-03 03:08:44 UTC

Unless Airbus goes ahead and makes an A350-1000 stretch

2021-01-03 03:24:52 UTC

Which is hard to say

2021-01-03 03:25:20 UTC

But Boeing said something about a 777-10. I doubt it will happen.

2021-01-03 04:10:02 UTC

No the A380 is a flying overweight beluga whale

2021-01-03 04:10:15 UTC

It is

2021-01-03 04:11:07 UTC

Ok then the 777 is the king

2021-01-03 04:11:17 UTC

Also an airplane that can only carry passengers and not be dedicated to cargo as well isnt a king

2021-01-03 04:11:30 UTC

Yeah

2021-01-03 04:11:32 UTC

777

2021-01-03 04:11:37 UTC

I can agree with that

2021-01-03 04:13:04 UTC

I mean the 777 is going to be around longer than either the A380 or the 74 at this point

2021-01-03 04:16:30 UTC

Well 747 has still reigned far longer than the A380. And 747 will continue awhile as a cargo plane even if not doing passenger services any more

2021-01-03 04:16:53 UTC

But in the long run dual engines will prevail as they get better and better and more efficient

2021-01-03 04:18:11 UTC

They ever get the 777 max out? I’ve kinda been out of aviation 2 1/2ish years and am trying to get back into it

2021-01-03 04:21:10 UTC

There is no 777 max
