The Bible today is a big issue which I have given many years of study to, basically over a decade.

2020-10-11 15:34:42 UTC

Your statement it comes from the Septuagint, Vulgate, and Dead Sea Scrolls is disingenuous.

2020-10-11 15:35:21 UTC

U said they aren't christians, and most denominations have moved away from that claim. I'm saying they are, they've been for the last two thousand twenty years.

2020-10-11 15:36:01 UTC

@MKSmash yeah i misworded my original statement, my fault and no offense taken πŸ‘

2020-10-11 15:36:09 UTC

For one, the Septuagint is a Greek translation (a poor one at that) of what is supposed to be the Hebrew Old Testament. The Vulgate is a revision by Jerome of the prior Vetus Latina, a translation as well of the New Testament into Latin.

> Your statement it comes from the Septuagint, Vulgate, and Dead Sea Scrolls is disingenuous.
@DannyNC1 don't strawman, those are archaelogical evidence of the preservation of the bible.

2020-10-11 15:36:36 UTC

So, those aren't the original Bible. If you want to talk about Bible, DM and we will talk about it, but this is not the forum.

2020-10-11 15:37:08 UTC

Ditto--this is not the forum. And don't say it is a strawman when there is a whole lot more to talk about on the issue than what you trot out.

2020-10-11 15:37:36 UTC

Ur facts are outdated

2020-10-11 15:37:47 UTC

Catholics are not Christians is what your original problem was. I have met many Catholics that have said that themselves.

2020-10-11 15:38:30 UTC

Well the majority won't agree with u.

2020-10-11 15:38:37 UTC

You're arrogant to even allege sight unseen what I have to say that my facts are outdated.

2020-10-11 15:39:00 UTC

I don't care about appealing to a majority. It is about what is right, not what is popular.

2020-10-11 15:39:48 UTC

Nope, facts are facts. Calling caths as not christians is arrogance...u a layman just anathemised 1.8billion of our brothers and sisters. @DannyNC1

2020-10-11 15:39:58 UTC

I'm done with this. Clearly your opinion will not change, nor will mine. Your beliefs seem to come from the 19th century book Catholicism, which is frankly ridiculous with no historical basis.
Good day

2020-10-11 15:39:58 UTC

I have other things to do and must leave. If you want to ask any questions, send me a DM now and I will get to it later in response to you.

2020-10-11 15:40:41 UTC

@MKSmash Have patience and hear me out instead of quickly leaving the topic--DM me and we will talk about it.

2020-10-11 15:41:09 UTC

@MKSmash don't worry, people are entitled to their own oppinion. 🍻

2020-10-11 15:42:17 UTC

It's not opinion, it is proveable that Catholics are not Christians, but I don't think you have the patience to hear it out. I know what I am talking about. I have read the Bible scores of times and I have compared it with the Catechism of the Catholic Church and found it does not match. Don't tell me I'm arrogant.

2020-10-11 15:45:17 UTC

U are arrogant, and ur facts are outdated. Do ur research, don't double down on hearsay. It's not good for our spiritual growth. U have no authority to anathemise any denomination (especially our largest denomination).

2020-10-11 16:02:53 UTC

I also have other things to do @DannyNC1 πŸ˜„

2020-10-11 17:13:59 UTC

@qwerty_😎 I directly told you where I got my information that Catholics are not Christians and you malign it as hearsay. Reading the Bible profusely and directly comparing it with the Catechism of the Catholic Church is not hearsay--that is diligent, concerted research. Researching things out helps to come to sound opinions. It is simply a diversionary tactic to ignore my cited evidence and claim otherwise that I am arrogant (ad hominem) and that my facts are outdated. The Catechism of the Catholic Church is viewed as the authoritative summation of the beliefs of Roman Catholicism, and thus to compare it to the Bible is the quintessential way to ascertain whether it is consistent and right to call them Christian or not. I have found that it is wrong to do so, thus I have a basis for saying they are not Christians. The preliminary issue is that they are not born-again repentant believers in the Lord Jesus Christ alone for salvation. A born-again believer and follower of the Lord Jesus Christ is what constitutes being a Christian. I would be happy to explain all of that to you, but please do not be so readily dismissive, especially so unwisely judgmental of what I would or would not know. You don't know me nor my years of research. I see you have ignored my request to DM me about it to talk further. Looks like you just criticize publicly and don't stick around to actually talk honestly about stuff.

2020-10-11 18:24:54 UTC

@DannyNC1 it's not that hard to understand, they're trinitarians (as christians should be), or u can just ask one of their catholic priest on what their beliefs are and confirm, that'll be much simpler. Oh yeah, I don't think that their cathecism book supercedes the bible. That's how i know u haven't researched much of anything. U failed miserably to get the basic things about what they believe correct. Sorry to rain on ur parade. But good luck with ur research. 🍻

2020-10-11 18:38:25 UTC

@qwerty_😎 Who says reading their Catechism and comparing it is not adequate to know what they believe? They literally promote it as their statement of what they believe and are trying to have all their churches follow. You are so misled to think (or are intentionally misleading people here) that that is not enough to figure out what they believe.
Also, believing in the Trinity is not enough, though it is important, to being a Christian. A Christian is one that has come to the realization that they are a sinner, they've offended God with their sin, that their sin requires the just judgment of God, which would be Hell if they die unsaved, that the Lord Jesus Christ died for their sins on the Cross as their only substitute and means to salvation (not on works), and have repented of their sins to God, and trusted on the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation. Roman Catholicism denies that, opposes it, and substitutes a religion based on works (penance, etc.), prayers to dead people (Mary and the 'saints'), trusting on them instead of only on the Lord Jesus Christ, and believing a church can save them when the Lord Jesus Christ is THE ONLY Saviour. Don't tell me that Catholics believe that for it is abundantly evident that they do not. If anyone, including you, does not believe that and come that way to God for salvation, you are not only lost but are on your way to Hell. I tell you this out of love and care for your soul. If you need any further explanation about it, DM me, please.

So, does anyone think there will be any information about Epstein or Bills exploits in the 33k emails that are being recovered from Hillary?

2020-10-11 19:06:09 UTC

Have they actually been released yet? And if so where can I find them? WikiLeaks?

2020-10-11 19:06:38 UTC
