I can agree with that, but some of them are, and you take a risk with it. I feel like the majority of teachers these days are usually pretty left leaning.

I'm still in high school but we barely went over sex ed

We had one or two days of a speaker coming in to talk about stds and that was pretty much it

most of the sex ed is moved to 8th grade but it's the same STD education

and then they give statistics about contraceptives but abortion is never brought up

Abortion is never brought up? With something that has such massive consequences it would make sense that it would be covered. Abortion is the only genocide happening in the US

My parents took it upon themselves to educate my siblings and I on abortion and the different procedures

Well bless them for that. It's a hard thing to talk about. It is gruesome and has lasting effects on both parties.

I don't think there's a perfect solution but if the schools are going to have sex ed then they should at least cover abortion and how it works and not sugar coat anything

I think it's a parents duty to sex Ed their kids. My mum bought me a book when I was 9 and then had just very basic and child friendly sex ed in school at 10 years old and then again in school (more serious) with 12 but thanks to my mum, I already knew a lot before school
