My guess most of the people protesting and yelling this crap are the ones most affected by the shutdown, and instead of bettering themselves, they want the government to take care of them. (A) what level of crime? Misdemeanor? Felony? Does it matter what crime, ie traffic violations versus assault?
(B) Who defines "mentally stable"? This is a huge concern since that could mean former military with PTSD can't own a gun. It could mean because someone suffering from PTSD due to a past sexual assault can't purchase a gun.
(C) This is already a thing that falls under the current background checks.
