I wouldn't say it's eradicated because no virus has ever been eradicated, not even polio, not even the flu. We're vaccinated against viruses like that but it doesn't mean it's not around. Even the flu comes back every year and there's new strands. Yes, we can achieve herd immunity against viruses through vaccinations. But should we mandate it?
