I'm friends with a nonbinary person and they know that they are biologically female and there's nothing that they can do to change that they just like using non-binary because they do not necessarily feel feminine or masculine. They know that non-binary is not a biological thing whatsoever but they just like the identity.

I wouldn't call it a mental illness but it would prob be the same feeling

At the minimum I want non binary people to ack knowledge their biological gender, if they choose to be non binary, I wont complain and say they have a mental illness.
