The Barbary pirates in North Africa took European slaves from Britain, Ireland, the Netherlands and Italy
That went on for like a hundred years or more
i was about to say the same, but rather how only one ethnic group is said to be the victim according to their data/history or "facts"
A lot of them were Muslim slave trades too
Here's a snippet of info I found:
ottoman empire comes to mind
In 1785 when Thomas Jefferson and John Adams went to London to negotiate with one of the leaders of the pirates, Ambassador Sidi Haji Abdrahaman, they asked him what right he had to take slaves in this way. He replied that the "right" was "founded on the Laws of the Prophet, that it was written in their Koran that all nations who should not have answered their authority were sinners, that it was their right and duty to make war upon them wherever they could be found, and to make slaves of all they could take as prisoners, and that every Mussulman who should be slain in battle was sure to go to Paradise".
But Leftists will tell you only white people are racist
And only white people took slaves
It's Marxist propaganda
pls send this article link if possible
It's *anti-white propaganda
and marxist
Under the section Rise of the Barbary pirates
thanks mate
No worries 👍
that looks like pope
They basically arose after a revolt in the ottoman empire reduced their leaders to figureheads with no power
Was the European age of exploration influenced by the rise of the Ottoman empire or something like that?
I am unsure of your question, but there must have been some sort of influence as both these eras coincided for at least 300 years or so
My US history teacher is a straight up socialist and he's bit hiding it
He keeps saying "capitalism eat their own young and they care only about money"
"Socialism means the government enforces equality"
And he's using monopoly companies as an example of how capitalism sucks
I'm tempted to mention Big Tech
DO IT
"These monopolies affected legislation"
<:Surprised_pikachu:726878373762301995> oh like Facebook, Google, and Twitter?
We're watching a video about the Gilded Age so I guess I'll say it later
Capitalism only cares about money? No way! It’s almost like people want to live a comfortable life style with a good income to raise a family? What? Who could live for such a thing?
Ig he's using Carnagie, Ford, Rockefeller, and Vanderbilt as examples of how capitalism is all about greed
Should tell him there is a difference between hard work and making smart choices, and greedy
I'm recording my classes
I usually send them to my dad
I told my robotics teacher the election isn’t declared yet
Don’t think he likes me that much anymore
Idk though
<:dogekek:726878872607653918> I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of people didn't like me anymore
At least next year I'm graduating
Might as well cause havoc
Nice
