my friends father, who is of african desent was arrested and held in jail for three days

2020-10-27 20:39:32 UTC

For what?

2020-10-27 20:39:43 UTC

for biking through and empty light, no pedestrian, on the bike lane

2020-10-27 20:40:16 UTC

that's the event that kind of proved it to me

2020-10-27 20:40:52 UTC

That's something you should bring up with your local officials and not assume it applies to the vast majority of the United States.

2020-10-27 20:41:25 UTC

You can take legal action against someone for something like that

2020-10-27 20:41:59 UTC

It's not part of police protocol to arrest someone for 3 days for a biking accident

2020-10-27 20:42:18 UTC

And how do you know something like that hasn't happened to a white person before hmm?

2020-10-27 20:42:28 UTC

that is an example, racsim is a problem, no matter the sevarity, and that is why i do not think that acrticle is far fecthed

2020-10-27 20:42:53 UTC

As for disproportionate minority deaths, there are plenty of disparities between races that cause that as opposed to "racism."

2020-10-27 20:43:07 UTC

not enough

2020-10-27 20:43:17 UTC

There are a lot.

2020-10-27 20:43:31 UTC

Yeah, racism is just our natural instinct to defend ourselves against the other tribe. I think?

2020-10-27 20:43:55 UTC

Such as the places where this is happening are democrat run cities..... Where there are large numbers of african american's with the worst lockdowns and worst plans against covid

2020-10-27 20:44:07 UTC

Causing that "stat"

2020-10-27 20:44:11 UTC

but how does that excuse all the minor racist comments and acts, they ar3e not all criminal! (I know you didn't really suggest that)

2020-10-27 20:44:42 UTC

@little hollow hhmmm, really, or just and underserving of a given commutintie?

2020-10-27 20:45:03 UTC

because democrats don't use their money conservatively, I see

2020-10-27 20:45:39 UTC

Spending it on "diversity training" that causes more racial division in our country

2020-10-27 20:45:49 UTC

argueable, yes

2020-10-27 20:45:51 UTC

U.S. Department of Health and Human Services 300 pages of emails of Dr. Anthony Fauci, Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, including his approval of a press release supportive of China’s response to the 2019 novel coronavirus. https://www.judicialwatch.org/documents/dcnf-v-hhs-production-oct-2020-01149/

2020-10-27 20:45:52 UTC

but still

2020-10-27 20:46:05 UTC

i think the report is valid

2020-10-27 20:46:07 UTC

> Spending it on "diversity training" that causes more racial division in our country
@little hollow And on "equity, diversity, inclusion" propaganda BS

2020-10-27 20:46:13 UTC

Economic conditions in addition to the fact that there are more minorities in cities are enough to justify the difference.

2020-10-27 20:46:19 UTC

> @little hollow And on "equity, diversity, inclusion" propaganda BS
@LuckyPuffy indeed

2020-10-27 20:46:36 UTC

they teaching is in the right spirit but they go about it in the wrong manner

2020-10-27 20:46:57 UTC

I'll actually have to agree with chaz here a bit.

2020-10-27 20:47:58 UTC

Nah man. Any person that truly believes someone is different because of skin color is dumb. Any body trying to teach someone that they are inherently racist because they are white, are also racist.

2020-10-27 20:48:18 UTC

Culture is the difference that needs to be acknowledged

2020-10-27 20:48:25 UTC

I've never noticed race ever in my life until it's brought up or to discuss disproportions.

2020-10-27 20:48:33 UTC

^^^

2020-10-27 20:49:02 UTC

> And on "equity, diversity, inclusion" propaganda BS
@LuckyPuffy Funny you say that bc my school is starting focus groups tomorrow and I'm volunteering for it just to see it.... and possibly get a $100 visa gift card

2020-10-27 20:49:14 UTC

The best way to teach divirsity acceptance is to state the idea of race is a socail construct and rise above it. we must relise that this social contruct has lead to much suffering and we cannot discredit those expierences, so lets work together to stand against an atiquated an perverse idea

2020-10-27 20:49:38 UTC

Or, here's an idea; we just ignore race. Very simple.

2020-10-27 20:49:46 UTC

No

2020-10-27 20:49:57 UTC

@DarkSkyKEC yeah, but some people suffer from the social construct that is race

2020-10-27 20:50:24 UTC

Nobody here discredits the experiences that racism causes.

2020-10-27 20:50:25 UTC

@SPRTNWRRYR1974 yeah, but we gotta deal with the repercustions of old ideas

2020-10-27 20:50:32 UTC

However, most people in the U.S. are not racist today.

2020-10-27 20:50:38 UTC

yep
