rip

2019-07-26 22:18:52 UTC

I was talking about the many thousands of generations and stuff

2019-07-26 22:18:57 UTC

I don’t want to write again lol

2019-07-26 22:18:59 UTC

Not just a singular brain

2019-07-26 22:19:12 UTC

I only call myself a tradcon because I'm at that weird in between phase where I understand the system is stacked against me, but the biological and spiritual desire for a partner makes me a romantic

2019-07-26 22:20:44 UTC

@Flame of truth Eros you're free to think differently about it.

2019-07-26 22:22:21 UTC

the point that i was getting at, is that there are some morals that are universal (or close to it) because we are a tribalism species for example, we don't typically murder people left and right because they cut you off in a conversation BUT even crimes that are "abhorrent" in modern settings such as rape are fine in other societies (because the belief that the stronger man would defend his women and a lack to do so makes her yours) now of course there are exceptions to the rules when you factor in mental disorders and genetic defects

2019-07-26 22:22:37 UTC

The main thing though, to summarize my paragraphs of writing was, morality, laws, come from either those in power, or a belief of a diety or a man whose beliefs you hold in deep respect

2019-07-26 22:22:50 UTC

but morals do change depending on time, place, location, history, and yes even religious influences

2019-07-26 22:23:02 UTC

@Mr.Black that’s my point , so you agree with me then?

2019-07-26 22:23:06 UTC

but to conflate religion to morality is not the same

2019-07-26 22:23:18 UTC

I think this is just a time in which you agree to disagree

2019-07-26 22:23:20 UTC

Maybe it’s semantics?

2019-07-26 22:23:33 UTC

I believe we are saying the same thing

2019-07-26 22:23:41 UTC

i would disagree, because i don't think (usually) they come from one person or deity

2019-07-26 22:23:44 UTC

You've stated your sides so, that's that in my eyes

2019-07-26 22:23:45 UTC

But you don’t want to call it religion I think

2019-07-26 22:23:46 UTC

but, agree to dissagree

2019-07-26 22:24:19 UTC

Their are religions with more than one god

2019-07-26 22:24:25 UTC

indeed

2019-07-26 22:24:29 UTC

Hinduism is pretty cool

2019-07-26 22:24:30 UTC

But anyway new topic lol

2019-07-26 22:24:32 UTC

I studied it

2019-07-26 22:24:42 UTC

They have interesting traditions

2019-07-26 22:24:43 UTC

i was thinking norse but that works

2019-07-26 22:24:55 UTC

I don't know much about the Norse

2019-07-26 22:25:06 UTC

there are also "religions" with no gods or deitys like Buddhism

2019-07-26 22:25:11 UTC

I should probably use another word than religion

2019-07-26 22:25:20 UTC

but thats a whole other topic

2019-07-26 22:25:28 UTC

Budhism is still a religion in my eyes

2019-07-26 22:25:34 UTC

Well Buddha is kind of like a god but he's not. that's kind of a weird one

2019-07-26 22:25:36 UTC

Confuciusm

2019-07-26 22:25:47 UTC

All religions to me

2019-07-26 22:25:57 UTC

Buddha is like a Jesus without a Holly spirit. So he's not a god but basically he is

2019-07-26 22:26:04 UTC

he openly states in scripture that he is just one of the first to find peace

2019-07-26 22:26:33 UTC
2019-07-26 22:26:46 UTC

You know more about it then me

2019-07-26 22:26:46 UTC

Religion = a way of life a belief followed created by a man or a diety on how to live life

2019-07-26 22:27:00 UTC

My definition lol

2019-07-26 22:27:28 UTC

Buddhism still qualifies in my eyes since there is an afterlife and other spiritual things

2019-07-26 22:27:56 UTC

the religion focuses on the study of how the universe works and emphases the individual "spirit" altho interestingly enough there are many factions with vastly different views one such where they do think the "buddah" is a god or atleast a reincarnation of one
