So, recently, there have been a load of projects and communities in the programming world starting to go really politically partisan. The bigger the project, the more likely it is that you will find them pandering to the far left or the dems. So, I propose a gamergate-style hypothesis, where radical leftists are infiltrating popular software projects to influence the maintainers into promoting their way of thinking.
Of course, it is also possible that they just fell for the propaganda saying that they are racist or a bigot otherwise. Another possibility is that, if they upset the left, all the big tech companies will drop them.
But, hey, the developergate thing is more fun to talk about, so let's go with that
