Haha I love how this might not trigger discussion or contestation, as I’m just connecting the dots by drawing a straight line that are so aligned that it’s obvious lol. But seriously, it would still do immense harm to dissolve the CIA, right? Entrenched interests are never easy to remove in one go, Trump might risk triggering something similar to the Perestroika that made USSR collapse.

Why would it do immense harm? Trump has been slowly taking away their control since 2016.

Because CIA is certainly keeping pressure on a lot of ennemies, and keeping the threat active is important to keep them peaceful. How credible would be “Don’t cross the USA’s diplomacy or we’ll send you freedom” if CIA didn’t have spies in every president’s office?
