iirc it was more expensive to fake a moon landing than to land a real man on the moon.

If it was indeed fake, the Soviets (who had obviously a lot of budget for the KGB and their Space Industry) would have not stopped talking about it, we would be hearing also from these Soviets that Apollo 11 was not real.

The Soviets would have taken advantage of it, which they did not.

Also my theory is that the initial moon landing may have been faked. Though I believe that is far fetched. If it was then my belief is that the ones after Apollo 11 were actually on the moon.

Money- it’s always about money. It was also the “Space Race” meaning when we landed on the moon and no one else did- the US saw it as a win...no one has one upped us yet
