they setup an armed line of defense of a biz...no cover
at least the protestors brought their own defense...well some of them anyway, the 'armed civilians' had guns...not much in terms of body armor, and no cover
a wooden shield isn't shit to bullets but it blocks line of sight
a crazed 1/2 naked man chasing an armed man is just self defense, regardless

he doesn't turn back around til he comes around the back of the car back to the guy that was chasing him
he woulda been firing shots blind behind him if he was doing all the shooting
