I just read a washington post article on taxes and died laughing. They said I pay 29.8% of my income to taxes. Fuck I wish my FEDERAL was that damn low. Even with exemptions I am paying around 32% year after year. Shit you tack on state and local taxes on top of my Federal Income taxes and suddenly I am at 52% of my income gone. This is including property taxes as well.

They also failed to mention that 48% OWE nothing in federal income tax after refunds and some even get more refunded than they paid in.

even at 2% of my wealth being taxed I would not be able to pay it, even if I used 100% of my personal income.

and those 2 are talking a 5% wealth tax or better. Also the wealth tax would start at $1m. Do you know how many American's have accumulated $1m of wealth? Almost 50% of them by the age of 50 have $1m of wealth and at 60 almost 75% of Americans have $1m of accumulated wealth.
