I really love the Expanse TV show. The books it's based on are also good.

I've got one season left

I have not read the books

Do you think they're worth reading after watching the show or will it be pretty much the same thing repeated

I actually started reading after watching the first season. I'm keeping my book reading only one book ahead of the show.

The books can go into a lot more detail on things then the show can. The fourth book that is mostly season 4 I preferred the book. There was a lot more in the book that happens that didn't get adapted including some great scenes.

In that case I might check them out

One of my grips about season 4 is they split everything between Earth, Mars, Belters, and the planet while the fourth book mainly concerned on the planet that I found more interesting.

How many books is there

Eight so far with the conclusion coming next year. The books, along with the show if it keeps following the books, is broken into three overarching storylines, each three books/seasons.

Cool

The first overarching storyline covering the first three books/seasons is discovering the protomolecule and it's purpose, the next storyline covering books/seasons 4-6 is about what happens at the end of season 3, and the last storyline is after a time jump that will interesting to see if the show gets renewed long enough. Don't know much about the last storyline because I haven't read there in the books yet.

I wonder if they meet aliens in the time jump

The last execution in California was 2006. Technically she was elected DA in 2003 but that's a short amount of time for her to have convicted somebody and had them executed. If there is an example of where she did, let me know.

@Stargatemaster96 I admit, the execution part is something I heard of from multiple sources but the prison gang wars still result in a lot of deaths including some of the men she refused to allow a chance for a fair re-trial. And everyone knows she has locked up a lot of people in general
