Basic plot is an investigative journalist meets a guy, the guy gets murdered, she investigates his death, and becomes embroiled in a conspiracy reaching the upper echelons of the government and they will stop at nothing to keep her silent.

If Hilary Clinton was involved, it might be a short book lol
