He was arrested instantly

2020-12-26 03:36:15 UTC

Now what seems wrong with this?

2020-12-26 03:41:20 UTC

You must grant me that I believe that we need a new revolution to negate most off the laws that has been signed in since the original signing. Our original Constitution was what, 10 pages? Now the laws that govern our lands about is in the millions. It's much too complicated

The law you refer to seems to be in conflict with our First Amendment, and thus, null and void

2020-12-26 03:42:29 UTC

Well, actually it was appealed based on the 14th Amendement. But let's bring this back to the moral side of the Argument.

2020-12-26 03:42:41 UTC

Morally, you would agree that swearing in general is bad thing to do correct?

2020-12-26 03:43:16 UTC

Morally, yes, it's not a good thing. But, it is protected by the 1st

2020-12-26 03:43:49 UTC

We can agree that morally it is wrong. Now let me bring you to another case.

2020-12-26 03:43:57 UTC

go on

2020-12-26 03:43:58 UTC

Snyder V. Phelps

2020-12-26 03:44:03 UTC

Heard of that one?

2020-12-26 03:44:36 UTC

not that I am aware of, no

2020-12-26 03:44:50 UTC

This one is a more extreme case of the 1st Amendment.

2020-12-26 03:45:08 UTC

Basically, back in the Iraq war, a family held a funeral for a fallen son of theirs.

2020-12-26 03:45:13 UTC

But outside there was a protest.

2020-12-26 03:45:26 UTC

my interest is piqued

2020-12-26 03:45:30 UTC

"God Hates the USA/Thank God for 9/11," This is a quote of a sign

2020-12-26 03:45:44 UTC

"Thank God for Dead Soldiers,"

2020-12-26 03:45:48 UTC

And another

2020-12-26 03:46:07 UTC

Now I think we both can agree this is outrageous.

2020-12-26 03:46:42 UTC

again, protected by the first amendment, and coincided with my sediments with me at the time of my youthful ignorance

2020-12-26 03:47:07 UTC

Yes! so legally speaking it is protected by law.

2020-12-26 03:47:13 UTC

But Morally, it is terrible

2020-12-26 03:48:15 UTC

the USA MIL has overreached it's boundies for decades before that. Was it morally right in the short term, no. In the long term, we have still yet to see

2020-12-26 03:48:29 UTC

I do not disagree with you

2020-12-26 03:49:09 UTC

But these are cases of Morality in Law where we should remain impartial on Morality.

2020-12-26 03:50:18 UTC

Now don't get me wrong. There are laws that do use morals.

2020-12-26 03:50:23 UTC

Like Murder, theft.

2020-12-26 03:50:31 UTC

But if you base all laws on Morality.

2020-12-26 03:50:35 UTC

You impose on Freedom.

2020-12-26 03:51:42 UTC

You can also look tothe Patriot act for this too.

2020-12-26 03:51:55 UTC

Morally speaking, seems fine to help prevents Terrorism.

2020-12-26 03:52:09 UTC

Well I don't know if that's a great example now that I think about it

2020-12-26 03:54:04 UTC

dude, I apologize. I've been up for far too long (started wrapping the kids' presents at 4 eastern this morn). I would love to continue this, but I can't find the words to support my arguments. To be continued, yes?

2020-12-26 03:54:45 UTC

Yes, when you have the time.

2020-12-26 03:55:57 UTC

I'm really enjoying this, the rational discussion of (IMO) the same position. but yes, I really need my beauty sleep. I'll review and respond on the marrow

2020-12-26 05:28:14 UTC

Is it still Christmas for some people? 👀

2020-12-26 05:35:44 UTC

still christmas for me

2020-12-26 05:40:56 UTC

Imagine it still being Christmas
