The funny thing is though, they still consume oil, a lot of it. They instead import it from places like Venezuela and Saudi Arabia, bringing it up the st lawrence river in bunker fuel burning tankers. What sense does it make that the country with the worlds second largest proven oil reserves is an importer of oil? Again, its not actually about environmentalism, its about virtue signalling. It looks good, and the people they do it for are to ignorant to whats actually going on to see how fake it is.
