If you work 1099, you dont get taxes taken out. You will pay self employment tax which is 23% when you file.

Personally, I quit filing taxes. Im 1099 and I usually owe thousands. This year I didnt file. I wont pay for a government that punishes law abiding citizens and lets criminals run amok.
