Worker's rights and safety is important, but for example, the teacher's union my teacher was pushed to join looks to take money out of her paycheck as a union due, as well as donating money on the unions behalf. In addition, my father worked in construction and would tell stories of guys working under the Teamsters union, that would show up drunk from the night before and try to work with heavy machinery, but were never fired because the union.

Overall, the initial state made sense. They were protecting worker safety and trying to protect a worker's rights. Now, it has turned into unions being a political tool and protection for workers that have no reason to be employed with their issues.

Most people have a teacher that comes to mind that you wonder how they still had a job, and usually, it is because the teacher unions that ensure they have protection.

I work in a union job I need only look across the room at my lazy counterparts. There has to be a better solution

At this point, there is federal and state laws that protect workers and plenty of attorneys. Unions aren't really needed in the United States at this point.
