no Ace is to masculine for the air force
I'm sorry you're depressed. that's really awful. 😦
To be honest, the military is my last resort if I can't do anything in the career I'm studying. It'd be a quick fate
@Tracey Don't worry, I deserve it for being the jerk I've been to everyone who's actually helped me through the years.
if you've been a jerk then you deserve to make it up to them and not suicide by military
That's why I ain't joined the Marines yet and am still pushing for my trade
there you go doing something right
you spell better than me and try to amend for your mistakes I'm confused on what you fail at constantly?
If I've learned one thing in my years of academia, it's that you learn to be a useless fool and to know your place
I'll surely wind up blowing my job and losing everything as per usual. I had 19 years to make a start and didn't even try at all for anything on my own.
Now I'm following my dad's job line with no intent of it being something I enjoy
And praying I don't lose it
well there's your problem right there! it's your education
i chose my field of work because it's damned hard to export to a foreign country, not because of any deep love of the profession
the paycheck pays for the things i do care about
I'm a nurse, for context
Are you one of those coffin dancing nurses? I saw a smoking hot one on the interwebs a couple months ago.
if society and academia have taught me it's that if your not perfect your a worthless failure. it's based on the marxists idea that humans are perfectable. you have to learn to accept that your human, humans make mistakes, and therefore you will make mistakes. and that is natural and ok @ACE
i'm one of those cranky ER nurses who scares interns
@Tracey your my favorite kind
When I've never done sports and never actually did anything besides work on book stuff to get a 4.0 gpa in almost all my years, I've surely failed at becoming ready for the basics.
I can't even talk to people correctly most the time without insinuating anger
I remember a time when doctors and nurses didn't wear pajamas to work.
i dunno, I take a look at my own life mismanagements and then take a look at teenagers and go, Holy crap, look at me adultin' over here
@ACE you sound like me 5 years ago
exactly like me
I get that a lot these days
and i like wearing pajamas to work
we were all taught the same thing
It cuts me down with every reiteration.
the best part about working the night shift is coming home and having a beer at 7 am, walking across the street to get the mail, and all my day shift office working neighbors staring at me as they drive past en route to work, looking at me and going 'Chemex is an alcoholic, she's drinking beer at 7 am'
also, grilling after dawn
Could be worse. You could be like nurse Jackie.
lolol
I'll pretend to know who that is for the sake of not making myself look more dumb than five minutes ago
cuts you down? if anything that's hopeful! I have a 2yo I love I'm buying my own house in the coming weeks and my band (my dream) is starting to take off.
she was a character in a TV show, a nurse addicted to narcotics after getting a work related back injury (i think) - it's sort of like the nurse version of House
the point Ace is we are taught to be that way but we aren't doomed to it forever
i'd rather be nurse ratchett 😛
btw Ace I have no idea what they are talking about ether
