So I’ve never had a “real” pet. Having gosh was the max I got to “own” a pet. Last summer I got to experience life with a dog. My roommate had a dog on campus housing for her “emotional needs”. The whole summer I was in that apartment I saw her poor dog lay in his bed 95% of the time I lived there. She had work and dated. When ever I came home from work the poor doggo ran to the door to see if his owner came back. It hurt me to see his tail droop as he went back to his bed.

I have a friend who loves animals. There are so many owners who neglect their animals. Who literally keep them outside and don’t care for their social needs.

I had a roomate that had a dog, female German Shepard. He was a good owner and I am just a sucker for animals. I would spoil her and take her out for walks when he couldn't.
