I think it's more "it was terrible, but the numbers may have been fudged" from what I understand.

2020-09-10 19:04:04 UTC

I am saying that the nuremburg trial wasnt fair

2020-09-10 19:04:22 UTC

i think the evidence was plentiful

2020-09-10 19:04:43 UTC

Well yes but who is responsible exactly

2020-09-10 19:04:55 UTC

who's heads have to roll

2020-09-10 19:04:58 UTC

you think hitler wasn't responsible?

2020-09-10 19:05:10 UTC

hitler died before the war ended

2020-09-10 19:05:18 UTC

how can you hold a dead person responsible?

2020-09-10 19:05:21 UTC

some say hitler died at an old age

2020-09-10 19:05:30 UTC

In Argentina or something

2020-09-10 19:05:32 UTC

and if he did I dont think he should have

2020-09-10 19:05:50 UTC

uh well he was alive when he initiated these things so... that's probably how

2020-09-10 19:05:54 UTC

Hitler wasnt caught so he wasnt trialed but lets face it Hitler was a guy giving orders the people executing the orders are equally guilty

2020-09-10 19:06:12 UTC

yeah

2020-09-10 19:06:32 UTC

Personally, I don't think I know enough to really argue the point, since I've only learned one side. I've heard people argue stuff involving the doors on the chambers being made of wood, for example, but I don't know enough to outright reject that.

2020-09-10 19:06:44 UTC

It's one of those subjects that I've been meaning to do more research into for a long time.

2020-09-10 19:07:01 UTC

i say the same thing about poilce officers here in america that willingly obey unconstitutional orders

2020-09-10 19:08:46 UTC

they were made of wood

2020-09-10 19:08:46 UTC

> Personally, I don't think I know enough to really argue the point, since I've only learned one side. I've heard people argue stuff involving the doors on the chambers being made of wood, for example, but I don't know enough to outright reject that.
@mikeflarkin also the fact that a Crematorium needs 5 hours to cremate a body and Auschwitz had 2

2020-09-10 19:08:58 UTC

and that for the estimated 1.1 Million

2020-09-10 19:09:10 UTC

yeah

2020-09-10 19:09:30 UTC

its like trying to bake 1 million cookies in 4 years with only 2 ovens

2020-09-10 19:09:31 UTC

5 hours to cremate a body, but is that true at any temperature? What if they were using something more than wood for cremation, does it still take the same amount of time?

2020-09-10 19:09:34 UTC

its impossible

2020-09-10 19:09:56 UTC

That's an example of what I mean when I say I don't know enough to comfortably argue either way.

2020-09-10 19:09:58 UTC

My

@mikeflarkin 5 hours for modern crematoriums

2020-09-10 19:10:07 UTC

so its generously estimated actually

2020-09-10 19:10:17 UTC

in favor of the official version

2020-09-10 19:10:51 UTC

Modern crematoriums deal with different body types than they would have during the Holocaust.

2020-09-10 19:10:52 UTC

there is a docu called the greatest story never told that gives a perspective from the other sides view its about 5 hours or so long. ive seen it and it does give a way diff perspective of it all. i am not saying either side was right or wrong but that is a look at it from the germans side.

2020-09-10 19:11:03 UTC

My Grandma told me her brother died in auschwitz

2020-09-10 19:11:18 UTC

I'd imagine it takes longer to cremate a 250lb man than it would someone that weights 80lbs due to starvation

2020-09-10 19:11:18 UTC

> Modern crematoriums deal with different body types than they would have during the Holocaust.
@mikeflarkin what?

2020-09-10 19:11:28 UTC

oh yeah sure

2020-09-10 19:11:37 UTC

fat burns easy I think

2020-09-10 19:11:43 UTC

its about the bones what takes long

2020-09-10 19:12:01 UTC

Right, but that's an example of "I don't know enough to argue."

2020-09-10 19:12:25 UTC

they cremated people one at a time?

2020-09-10 19:12:42 UTC

even if it takes 1 hour it wont add up to 1,1 million cremated in 4 years

2020-09-10 19:12:52 UTC

> they cremated people one at a time?
@Meryl.140.15 there were 2 ovens

2020-09-10 19:13:04 UTC

1 for each 'oven' ?
