I buried my Grandfather 2 years ago ( old age, he was 93 ). He was a Navigator ( the guy that looked down the scope and signalled when to drop ) and flew 29 B17 bomber missions over Mussilini Italy from 43-45 and even got shot down and survived. Made it through enemy lines and got picked up by the Russians.

If that actually happened you would fight at 16 and 17 too

He would have joined in 41 but he turned 18 in 43

My grandparents were all born after 1945

All grandparents died before I was born, my dad was special forces who died when I was 12 and my mom organized parties for past presidents and other high government officials

Idk when my grandparents where born all i know is they had serious issues

My dad had five heart attacks and was on meds when I was six. Wasn’t fun seeing him like that and he was a walking weapon in his prime. Feared and loved him throughout his life

The 50s - 70s was a very important time for Japan. It still amazes me to this day how well the Japanese truly embraced capitalism and free markets so quickly after WW2
