@Tyler Zed If you like documentaries there are a lot on YouTube that go through all of the varying states that the government had to reach in order to go from empirical to Communist. I wish I had books to offer up but I do better with documentaries.

One good documentary shows America and its different time periods in color which is absolutely amazing.

Just seeing the 1920s in color is crazy as hell

Extreme capitalism is bad and so is extreme socialism the best thing we can have is authoritarian capitalism

I also encourage you to look into Nicholas II and the fall of the empire to understand why it came about and was able to happen. He is such a sad figure and his is a story I recommend to anyone looking into that time @Tyler Zed
