Seeing the amount of money that you can spend on DLC for some games blows my mind, like when you go through and add up all the purchases to a potential amount spent.

i made the mistake of spending money on dlc for COD ww2 only to realize that the maps i unlocked NEVER get played anyway. it's always original maps

How much are skins in COD now? I think I saw at one point it converted to like $10 for just a gun skin

I mean some games I don't mind if they have some expensive DLC, but only if it's worth it. Like if Civilization has a DLC thing that's $20 but it comes with an extra campaign and like 3 new civilizations, that's worth it IMO

Depends on how expensive and what content is in the DLC.
But there was one game called Evolve where the DLC was so OP that it broke the game, you had to spend over $100 just to actually be able to have a decent character
At least Stellaris only requires the multiplayer host to own the DLC
Some DLC are just expansion packs.
