pascal has been on the market for a year and still the only way to OC it past the default 10% available on every single pascal gpu is hard mods or buying something like an evga 1080ti classy with the rpi voltage control thing

2017-08-14 13:41:38 UTC

sure the average person doesn't even understand and every time i've mentioned it people just turn into frothing fanboys because they already bought the gpus so they could never accept a problem with them but there is no reasoan to do this shit.

2017-08-14 13:56:42 UTC

StinkNigger96

2017-08-14 14:00:35 UTC

Reason is probly this: warranty

2017-08-14 14:00:48 UTC

And european laws about it

2017-08-14 14:01:47 UTC

Tldr: i ruined it in first day... Oh neat due warranty laws i get new one

2017-08-14 14:02:04 UTC

Bullshit what somw countries have

2017-08-14 14:02:46 UTC

Specialy the 60 days moneybqck from internet orders and what the shit

2017-08-14 14:06:24 UTC

this tbh

2017-08-14 14:06:34 UTC

dog bless european warranty laws

2017-08-14 14:06:49 UTC

can brick my phone and unless they prove it was my fault i get new one

2017-08-14 14:10:48 UTC

And by open access laws(anti-monopoly) you should be able to install any OS to your phone and if it breaks its on the seller

2017-08-14 14:10:53 UTC

Fun stuff

2017-08-14 14:10:59 UTC

yes

2017-08-14 14:11:12 UTC

Directive 1999/44/EC

2017-08-14 14:11:41 UTC

Tho probly never tested in court

2017-08-14 14:11:52 UTC

my friend bricked his phone with pajeet xda rom and they just gave him new phone

2017-08-14 14:11:58 UTC

this was like 4 years ago though

2017-08-14 14:13:04 UTC

I just can not bring myself to buy a card that I do not have control over.

2017-08-14 14:13:36 UTC

Autism

2017-08-14 14:13:37 UTC

Autism

2017-08-14 14:13:38 UTC

So the warranty thing is a possible motive but then why only GPUs? Don't CPUs get the same warranty? Intel K and X chips and Ryzen/TR both are totally unlocked

2017-08-14 14:13:54 UTC

Like you are in controlnof your current card either

2017-08-14 14:13:58 UTC

This is just like intel selling the 8700k locked at stock voltage but leaving the multiplier unlocked

2017-08-14 14:14:23 UTC

I am I can go make a bios right now and set up the clock behaviour how I want, the voltage bins how I want, the power limits how I want and flash it

2017-08-14 14:14:39 UTC

Why do you think maxwell cards OC so much further than pascal?

2017-08-14 14:15:10 UTC

Gpus generare heat way more agressively in FEA than processors for some reason (they use fuck a lot more voltage)

2017-08-14 14:16:00 UTC

If warranty is truly the reason then the laws must be recent because just last gen, maxwell, didn't have this kikery

2017-08-14 14:16:04 UTC

And the corporations dont want to juy whole new computers when something jumps over traces and motherboard gets that 12v tru pcie

2017-08-14 14:16:17 UTC

and there are ways around it. make it hard to do so the morons can't do it

2017-08-14 14:16:50 UTC

There might be many other reasons too but that would be largest one

2017-08-14 14:16:52 UTC

I want to buy a vega 56 and a 360mm aio, slap that fucking thing on and run it at 100000000 watts of power consumption

2017-08-14 14:17:10 UTC

but that would give the goyim too much for their money can't have that!!

2017-08-14 14:17:14 UTC

Overclocking is placebo for autists tbh

2017-08-14 14:17:28 UTC

oy vey dont buy a 1070 for your new monitor goy!!! you need the GTX 1080!

2017-08-14 14:17:28 UTC

^^

2017-08-14 14:17:55 UTC

right because my 980ti matching a stock 1080 in benchmarks is placebo
