i was so fucking excited for this card

2017-08-14 13:36:12 UTC

i can't believe they pulled a jensen

2017-08-14 13:36:28 UTC

TR is two ryzen chips and two blanks

2017-08-14 13:36:46 UTC

I dont know if they would be able to have four ryzen dies

2017-08-14 13:36:52 UTC

sounds like it would need a lot of juice

2017-08-14 13:37:04 UTC

that's for epyc it would just be so monsturous for desktop

2017-08-14 13:37:32 UTC

oh right

2017-08-14 13:37:41 UTC

i forgot about the 32c epyc

2017-08-14 13:38:32 UTC

point is now both companies have effectively ended overclocking for gpu. there is solid proof that gpu boost 3.0 behaves in such a way that it only limits people looking to push the card far for 24/7 use and doesn't get in the way of ln2 oc. Can't have john doe buying a 1070 for a monitor he could have been sold a 1080 for

2017-08-14 13:38:37 UTC

and now amd is doing the same fucking thing

2017-08-14 13:38:43 UTC

they wont allow you control of your own hardware

2017-08-14 13:38:59 UTC

even intel doesn't pull that shit. i could melt my 6600k right fucking now they dont care

2017-08-14 13:39:13 UTC

its like a soggy biscuit circle, if you cant beat them join them

2017-08-14 13:39:47 UTC

they want to jew you into the vega 64

2017-08-14 13:39:49 UTC

sad

2017-08-14 13:39:50 UTC

i actually thought that the "poor volta" thing with "voltage" cut out to look like volta was a jab at nvidia for locking down voltage on pascal and presumable volta and that amd wont be doing that

2017-08-14 13:40:05 UTC

i'll buy the fucking 64 but there is no way it's bios is editable if the 56 isn't

2017-08-14 13:40:53 UTC

pascal has been on the market for a year and still the only way to OC it past the default 10% available on every single pascal gpu is hard mods or buying something like an evga 1080ti classy with the rpi voltage control thing

2017-08-14 13:41:38 UTC

sure the average person doesn't even understand and every time i've mentioned it people just turn into frothing fanboys because they already bought the gpus so they could never accept a problem with them but there is no reasoan to do this shit.
