I like the b-17 myself. I went on a 1000 ft hike into the colorado mountains this summer just to go to a haunted b-17 crash site from '43. it was amazing to see and a long freaking walk..

they were frequently seen landing missing some major parts

like tail stabilizers, etc.

it still had the parts where the wings attatched and the engines in peices and landing gear and still had twisted metal strewn about

let's not forget about the b17 that landed itself
