The main reason there is all the outrage over it, as of late, is because the individual executed within the last 2 days. He was convicted and sentenced after ||his friend shot two people, not killing them, then he covered them in lighter fluid in the trunk of a car and set them on fire. ||

So, I pulled the facts from the Bernard's appeal to postpone his execution.

Basically, street gang of four was asking people for a ride, then pulling guns on them, and robbing them. The gang asked for a ride from a couple, then pulled out a gun on the couple. They then stole the jewelry, wallet, and ATM pins. They then locked the couple in the trunk and went to access the ATM, and sell the jewelry. Then they sat around, eating, etc. Finally decided they needed to kill the couple. They drove out to an isolated area, covered the car and couple in lighter fluid. One of the other's shot both in the head, but it only killed the husband. Then they set them on fire. An autopsy showed that the wife died from smoke inhalation.

Also, very religious couple, supposedly. Singing and praying while being covered in lighter fluid.
