The same reason grant said no state could secede. Because each state pays into the pot

2020-12-13 17:35:52 UTC

It when private on me

2020-12-13 17:35:53 UTC

Yes but people who have the zeducated role and to-be mods

2020-12-13 17:35:58 UTC

yes well the scotus said it's not legally standing

2020-12-13 17:36:01 UTC

Morning

2020-12-13 17:36:02 UTC

Hahaha Trump will be reelected

2020-12-13 17:36:11 UTC

Well scotus also votes on public opinion sadly

2020-12-13 17:36:11 UTC

i mean if they are top lawyers they probably know the law better than us

2020-12-13 17:36:26 UTC

Texas was right. Either they looked at the case or they should rip up the constitution

2020-12-13 17:36:43 UTC

Scotus is Tumblr

2020-12-13 17:36:51 UTC

i still think they should have taken the case but it doesn't mean they had to take it

2020-12-13 17:37:02 UTC

20 states felt that texas had standing. And even the democrat states felt they had standing which is why they got behind the defendants cuz they actually thought there would BE a case

2020-12-13 17:37:13 UTC

Bruh i dont wanna go to work today

2020-12-13 17:37:17 UTC

So 44 states legit thought texas had enough of a case to get invovled

2020-12-13 17:37:21 UTC

Call in sick

2020-12-13 17:37:22 UTC

Then don't go

2020-12-13 17:37:23 UTC

10 hour fucking shift

2020-12-13 17:37:26 UTC

So 44 states are wrong?

2020-12-13 17:37:28 UTC

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

2020-12-13 17:37:28 UTC

God be with me

2020-12-13 17:37:41 UTC

i'm not a lawyer i don't know who is wrong

2020-12-13 17:37:44 UTC

God will always be with you

2020-12-13 17:37:56 UTC

SCOTUS was a coward yesterday

2020-12-13 17:38:00 UTC

It's that simple

2020-12-13 17:38:11 UTC

And because of it civil war is now right on our doorstep

2020-12-13 17:38:15 UTC

Regarding the SCOTUS thing, the Supreme Court didn’t take it because they felt that the case would impede on each state’s sovereignty in their election process by allowing other states to intervene in them.

2020-12-13 17:38:21 UTC

It’s a valid position

2020-12-13 17:38:22 UTC

they are taking the texas suit and splitting it into individual state cases

2020-12-13 17:38:28 UTC

Good luck

2020-12-13 17:38:29 UTC

@VulpesVulpes no it's a cowards position

2020-12-13 17:38:46 UTC

maybe

2020-12-13 17:38:51 UTC

but it's still a real thing

2020-12-13 17:38:54 UTC

Because as texas said, those four states were impeding on the rest of the states by doing so

2020-12-13 17:39:02 UTC

but who says texas is right

2020-12-13 17:39:06 UTC

i think they are but

2020-12-13 17:39:10 UTC

It’s a position that means they aren’t opening the door for states to dictate laws to other states through the Supreme Court

2020-12-13 17:39:14 UTC

19 other states apparently

2020-12-13 17:39:41 UTC

and the other 20 say they are wrong

2020-12-13 17:39:47 UTC

@VulpesVulpes they wouldn't be. The whole case was on the four states OWN laws. Texas was staying the states should follow their own law.

2020-12-13 17:40:00 UTC

yes and a state can't tell what another state has to do

2020-12-13 17:40:04 UTC

says many people
