Bacon's good when you make the recipe right. You can't go wrong with a bacon and cheese sandwich

2020-12-13 19:31:33 UTC

With eggs of course

2020-12-13 19:31:58 UTC

No I think I mis-spoke or you mis-understand (not sure which)? Things are wrong. Wrong is wrong, good is good. Our difference is where that comes from. From your world-view, it's god. From my world-view, it's a necessary part of any communal species in order to survive and thrive. Morality is an evolutionary necessity is my point. (AGAIN I'd hate to sound like I'm arguing I'm just explaining.)

2020-12-13 19:32:23 UTC

I would like to reassert I find way more in common with christians than like the ACA types

2020-12-13 19:32:29 UTC

Notice this statement, and consider your other statements. You recognize that objective morality must exist, but you deny it to keep God out of your life. At some point you'll have to pick. The cognitive dissonance can't last forever.

2020-12-13 19:32:45 UTC

I have not denied objective morality exists.

2020-12-13 19:32:51 UTC

Morality is important for society. If we had none, we'd be diddling children and killing people.

2020-12-13 19:32:59 UTC

This

2020-12-13 19:33:25 UTC

We live in a society

2020-12-13 19:33:35 UTC

I love to praise ur name

2020-12-13 19:33:38 UTC

That's called cognitive dissonance

2020-12-13 19:33:40 UTC

does no one know that song

2020-12-13 19:34:15 UTC

Again, there was nothing there that denied objective morality. the only difference we have in thought is where objective morality seems to appear from.

2020-12-13 19:35:37 UTC

Carl Benjamin is a really popular political commentator that is an atheist, and he has also conceded the point that atheists like himself (and I) really ought to align ourselves with christians because we agree on almost every single point.

2020-12-13 19:35:59 UTC

Well you could always strap 2 guys in chains in a cave and see what happens.

2020-12-13 19:36:21 UTC

that might not end well

2020-12-13 19:36:38 UTC

Shadows on the wall

2020-12-13 19:37:40 UTC

The reason is because you may understand what you're saying, but you don't understand what I'm saying. You're missing the fact that the very language you're using, is defined by Christianity. The very term morals is a matter of law. The very essence of good vs bad is judgment, and the thing that separates them is a standard, that standard is law. Even when you say that it just benefits our society, you're still making an ontological claim that leads to God. Nothing in nature is good or bad, only you're judgment. No animal does this, hence 'homosapien', ie single species of wisdom. Why? Because moral reasoning is unique to humans, because we aren't made in the likeness of animals, but God.

2020-12-13 19:38:17 UTC

Good afternoon, Sunday afternoon.

A mathematician once made a theory that if you believe in God and he isn't real you lose nothing, but if he is real and you don't believe in God you lose something.
