I like diversity of opinion. but often times people from one side or the other, or even both at the same time, turn it less than civil and it makes it difficult. if you make good points with actual substance to back it, glad to have the differing opinion.

i think of all the places with large government control and think to myself "no thanks"

It's a balance to give power to government and the people.

its late for me and im going to go to sleep soon so I wont get too super into it, but when it comes to the big government vs small government stuff.... one personal example is marriage. evil people have taken advantage of marriage and ruined decent people's lives with it. makes me scared to ever get married. why the fuck does the government need to stick its nose in two consenting adult's relationship? why does that binding contract have to be made between spouse, spouse, and government? it can be abused and has been relentlessly by awful people, and even trapped people in a bad marriage because of the legal reamifications of it.

I want less government, I want less interference in my life from it.

Think the worse ruling the supreme court did in modern history was giving coorporations "people" status

Some places there should be less government and others there might need to have more government.

communism and fascism is about having big, strong, powerful government, right? and communism has been the biggest violator of human rights, and caused the greatest losses of human life out of most things to ever exist in human history.

if youre scared of Trump being hitler and stealing your rights, why would you want bigger government?
