Well, because there two theories to why you have low grades (1) poor learning (2) not trying.

I grew up in Germany.... so when I came to America and saw how far behind you guys were I was sad

it needs to be completely revamped

If you don’t try, then it doesn’t matter

If you don’t care about what you are learning the it is your fault

Don’t punish someone who doesn’t care about learning

Let them punish themself

They’ll eventually reach a point where they realize they should have listened

And then they will learn

they WAY American schools work is dumb.... it is a general education for all 12 years.... which means you don't learn anything you want to learn about unless you are into math, science, history, and english

Yes I believe that grades for places like law school and medical school work

In America I came here for 8th grade and up....

it was a disgrace.... I didn't really get anything but refreshers until 11th grade.... even in Math it was just silly

Because those are schools that you choose to go to and that teach you important shit about what you are doing that requires you go there

If you didn't put forth effort in school your not going to put forth effort at a job. Government handouts should be cut it would help people by making them put forth effort to better themselves

But just normal school where it’s math, science, etc etc

let the people who choose to not learn be dumb.

well I know that my brothers I went to school with all did poorly in everything except math.... and only 1 of them did well in anything besides math

I competed in math for years...I then decided to go into law...
