when rebuilding

Pistols and belts

2017-12-14 18:34:01 UTC

Does the crankshaft wear in the same way pistons do?

2017-12-14 18:34:41 UTC

it does but damaging a crankshaft is rather difficult unless you abuse the car

2017-12-14 18:35:07 UTC

it is rather changed in a rebuilt for ensuring original performance

2017-12-14 18:35:22 UTC

Anyone else into ballet?

Classic rendition of Sleeping Beauty

2017-12-14 18:36:18 UTC

Cool

2017-12-14 18:36:28 UTC

as friction and wear from the oil, which acts as a abrasive due to particles from the parts mixing with the oil

2017-12-14 18:36:45 UTC

hence why ppl should change oil when specified

2017-12-14 18:37:44 UTC

Transmissions freak me out, had a Honda pilot that the previous owner used as a restaurant truck in a city and the feeling of suddenly losing power on the highway is ass clenching.

Saw this

In 2014

2017-12-14 18:38:54 UTC

>using a car as a food truck

2017-12-14 18:39:03 UTC

rip

2017-12-14 18:39:13 UTC

maintenance of those cars is usually abysmal

2017-12-14 18:39:42 UTC

it is really worth it @Shrimpf ?

Not a food truck, a transportation truck. Probably hauled it full with veggies and meat every morning for years from the restaurant depot to the store.

2017-12-14 18:40:33 UTC

Didn't tell me that but from the sheer state of the interior I guessed it. Didn't think it would be a problem though.

2017-12-14 18:40:59 UTC

Ballet shows?

2017-12-14 18:41:03 UTC

yes

2017-12-14 18:41:06 UTC

If you love classic literature

2017-12-14 18:41:17 UTC

This is basically people enacting it

2017-12-14 18:41:41 UTC

@johnfrum if your car is working atm fine then there are no need to worries

2017-12-14 18:41:55 UTC

Japanese cars are surprisingly durable

2017-12-14 18:42:03 UTC

and can take a beating

2017-12-14 18:42:03 UTC

I also like opera but ballet is more expressive

2017-12-14 18:42:17 UTC

Nah that was years before, had to declare a total loss. Transmission rebuild would have cost about 1.5 the amount I paid for it.
