arduino

2017-12-15 23:01:22 UTC

my man

2017-12-15 23:01:23 UTC

is just a name

2017-12-15 23:01:25 UTC

no but you can flash them to arduino

2017-12-15 23:01:29 UTC

is like GNU/Linux

2017-12-15 23:01:40 UTC

even worse

2017-12-15 23:01:43 UTC

is just like POSIX

2017-12-15 23:02:32 UTC

I just got an email from uni about kids distributing racist fliers, I'd like to also mention that uni students get a quota of 100 printed pages and its almost the end of the semester

2017-12-15 23:02:44 UTC

esp8266 is fast as fuck for Arduino

2017-12-15 23:02:44 UTC

ITS OKAY TO BE WHITE

<:iosthink:328535776843268105> i am a complete ignorant on this shit of microcontrollers

2017-12-15 23:02:54 UTC

It's also got wifi

2017-12-15 23:03:01 UTC

and bt?

2017-12-15 23:03:03 UTC

or is it esp32

2017-12-15 23:03:10 UTC

Esp32 has bt

2017-12-15 23:03:13 UTC

<:iosthink:328535776843268105> i am a complete ignorant on this shit of microcontrollers

2017-12-15 23:03:27 UTC

if you want a more powerful "ardueno" for less and you can do actual MCU programming, STM32F103 is around 3x cheaper

2017-12-15 23:03:41 UTC

since my background is mechanical engineering

2017-12-15 23:03:50 UTC

however i want to learn

2017-12-15 23:03:51 UTC

then you should know MCUs but not Java

2017-12-15 23:04:41 UTC

Using 8266 I intend to build a WiFi based alarm clock with customisable alarms, weather, and temp/humidity

2017-12-15 23:05:09 UTC

which is a bit of an undertaking but hopefully I can make it work on that 80Mhz CPU

2017-12-15 23:06:22 UTC

my thesis was a device supporting multiple chink air quality sensors connecting with BT

2017-12-15 23:06:28 UTC

but I got the BT down with another chink module

2017-12-15 23:06:43 UTC

thanks ST Microelectronics for no docs at all

2017-12-15 23:08:13 UTC

same here

2017-12-15 23:08:27 UTC

did i mention it's connecting to an android app which is connecting to an external server

2017-12-15 23:08:39 UTC

but in my case is for assistive tech of people with disabilities

2017-12-15 23:08:41 UTC

nice

2017-12-15 23:08:47 UTC

what is your bachellors on?

2017-12-15 23:08:49 UTC

2017-12-15 23:08:50 UTC

cs

2017-12-15 23:09:45 UTC

ohh. I want to base my PhD on controls so i decided to buy this to try out
