TIS-100 is supposed to be a great "hacking" game, using assembly for some reason

Hacknet is another option if you're looking for hacking games. Tho in that you use Unix commands

i played spacechem a lil bit

but at one time it became too hard for me

maybe my programming skills went up

well, those games are famously complex/difficult

so you gotta really be in a proper mindset to enjoy them
