Hard to have a trade war when you are a service based, goods consuming economy when you have been selling off your means of production for 50 years to the nation you plan on having the war with.

Trump wanted to renegotiate NAFTA making a worse deal with the US in exchange for putting 230 in trade deals to protect tech companies and stop congress from changing it. If that doesn’t shoot in red flags of incompetency don’t know what to tell you
