I fallow no rules the bible is not absolute for me its a guide book and if i am punished when i die for being wrong then that is fine i accept that

2020-11-22 16:48:01 UTC

Latin Vulgate is over 1,700 years old

2020-11-22 16:48:41 UTC

So if you compare that to a modern version you will see many have not changed

2020-11-22 16:49:11 UTC

You can also compare its OT to the Septuagint which is older than Jesus

2020-11-22 16:49:52 UTC

I can't read Greek but I can read Latin and I see no change of significance from 4th century AD to now

2020-11-22 16:50:05 UTC

I could sit before Jesus himself and i would still ask questions. I am not devout by any means i see christianity as guidance and if not fallowing to the letter leaves me falling short of worthy then like i said i am fine with that.

I trust my moral compass given to me by the creator himself more than anything in this world.

2020-11-22 16:59:30 UTC

Then why do you not trust his church he established

2020-11-22 17:07:07 UTC

The Church is the moral compass.

2020-11-22 17:07:20 UTC

This is like the three boats parable

2020-11-22 17:07:30 UTC

Not even God Himself? Who not only gave you your moral guidance, but also established a Church whose clergy can be traced back, year by year, decade by decade, century by century, all the way back to the 1st century, the times of the Apostles

2020-11-22 17:12:13 UTC

Not to mention countless miracles and apparitions over the millenia, some of which are scientifically documented, like Eucharistic miracles and the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe, and can't be explained by even 21st century scientists. The Miracle of the Sun, which happened at Fatima, Portugal in October 1917, was witnessed by tens of thousands of people, including irreligious people

2020-11-22 17:39:26 UTC

Switching back to the kebabs, they used to be polytheists with the moon god at the center, which is why the moon symbol persists to this day and why you cannot equate allah with God

A man of knowledge I see

2020-11-23 12:31:47 UTC

He was based in his views

2020-11-23 12:32:11 UTC

He knew moral and sexual degeneracy lead to the extinction of societies

2020-11-23 12:33:04 UTC

He was a Serbian Orthodox Patriarch. Serbian and Croatian languages are almost identical to each other

I've yet to receive my answer on which European old faith regarded bogs as sacred. This is not fucking around or ball breaking btw, I am genuinely curious.

2020-11-26 15:18:03 UTC

Heck, even Skyrim's Nords don't treat bogs and swamps as sacred since they're filled with all sorts of monsters and dangerous animals

Bog worship is more of a Germanic tribal thing. But their gods are basically the same as the Norse with a few exceptions here and there. An example is the cult of Woden (Odin) didn’t originate in Scandinavia it came from the Germanic tribes invading the north. The primary god of the Norse was Tyr who was the old god of war. Then Odin filled the gap and Tyr became the god of justice. When villagers were put on trial Tyr was invoked as a witness so justice was done.
