Doom Eternal is good, it's a far cry from the original Doom and I think 2016 Doom is more fitting of the series but Eternal is worth it.
@C4X3 I keep getting an error message when finishing a match saying it couldn't create a log file, asking if I ran out of hard drive space (I didn't) and it crashes.

@C4X3 found a mod that lets me use more ram for the game and avoid crashing like that, the bad part is, you'll have to remind me to undo the mod the next time we play otherwise I'll be going "I don't see your game to join" cause only people with that mod can play with each other, but it's extremely easy to undo and redo back and forth.

Do I poke the bear? Decided to reestablish the Roman Empire and make Caesar blush. The other fascist countries have been joining Axis. Almost done with Africa and need to quickly conquer Iran so that I can have those infantry armies. Once Moscow falls they won't be divided. I'll need to quickly remove Spain from Africa and Europe and fortify the atlantic force while I push the germs back. A tall order.

I think they were just trying to add more ahistorical stuff to allow for more replayability and options. There are a lot of modern nation tags added a while back both in Africa and SE Asia.
That failed spectacularly. I could not finish off Africa fast enough. The Soviet Union collapsed. Plan B was to start a civil war in the USA, which was fascist, joined Axis, and then turned communist, still in Axis. So, start a civil war between fascist USA and the current communist USA. The communist USA is already a part of the Axis, so the fascist USA cannot also join, so they'll join my new Roman Empire faction. And while the Axis is busy with a civil war in America, I take Berlin. Except the new fascist USA joined Allies.................. And I got pushed back that far. Manpower is gone, air force obliterated, just fending off naval invasions waiting for the Allies to cross the atlantic and cause some confusion, not sure if I'll last that long.
