Overhyped so people won’t like it because they jacked themselves up over it

2020-12-09 20:28:54 UTC

yeet

2020-12-09 20:29:06 UTC
2020-12-09 20:29:17 UTC

I added it to my wishlist

2020-12-09 20:29:48 UTC

Transport fever 2 is a fun game

2020-12-09 20:30:18 UTC

Legitimate question.

If a group establishes an autonomous zone, and the government chose to recognize it, couldn't the government just roll in and use as much force as needed, given that the zone isn't considered US territory?

2020-12-09 20:30:28 UTC

The residents of the zone would be considered wartime combatants

2020-12-09 20:32:45 UTC

better be a big discount then, I'm not looking to pay more than 20

2020-12-09 20:33:12 UTC

It goes on sale pretty frequently

2020-12-09 20:33:20 UTC

I got em all for like $15

2020-12-09 20:33:44 UTC

@Zarjai yes. As it would be an enemy trying to take & occupy US land

2020-12-09 20:34:58 UTC

aight boys I haven't had a chance to keep up this week

2020-12-09 20:35:05 UTC

so whats going on?

2020-12-09 20:35:09 UTC

if you aren't playing Civilization or Age of Empires, can you even call yourself a Gamer? <:doubt:448311464353202177>

2020-12-09 20:35:41 UTC

civ 3 was cool i guess

2020-12-09 20:36:23 UTC

Civ highlights what traits lead to successful civilizations (at least the first games)

2020-12-09 20:36:45 UTC

do you have civ 3?

2020-12-09 20:36:48 UTC

nobody researches "wahmens voting" <:what:448311923025510410>

2020-12-09 20:37:07 UTC

I do have it. Haven't played it to be honest but I want to... I prefer the 2D graphics over the 3D

2020-12-09 20:37:26 UTC

I played it a few times

2020-12-09 20:37:29 UTC

Hearts of Iron IV allows for the possibility of some pretty based alternate histories

2020-12-09 20:37:37 UTC

I have civ 3 shared to me on steam

2020-12-09 20:37:54 UTC

Hearts of Iron seems fun but the learning curve is a bit daunting

2020-12-09 20:37:54 UTC

My HoI IV won't load thanks to mods but that was a fun game

2020-12-09 20:38:12 UTC

I've been playing civ 6 pretty regularly even when I'm at work

2020-12-09 20:39:10 UTC

Indeed, Risk is to Axis & Allies as Axis & Allies is to Hearts of Iron IV

2020-12-09 20:39:28 UTC

as far as strategy goes id say the best games ever made are most of the total war games, Star wars battlefront galactic conquest (the og 2nd game) and banner lord

2020-12-09 20:40:59 UTC

my favorite is Age of Empires 2.... it's even made a massive comeback after 20 years. Big tournaments happening. Healthy community. There's enough to it to make it endlessly replayable, with so many civs and map types

2020-12-09 20:43:01 UTC

And of course there's mod so that the nation leaders, generals, and admirals are all anime waifus in HoI4

2020-12-09 20:43:16 UTC

helps that Definitive Edition has been released... expansions and updates frequently

2020-12-09 20:43:58 UTC

HOI4 can hold your hand a lot too, you can outsource a lot to the AI

2020-12-09 20:44:16 UTC

Don't expect the AI to do wonders, but it can help you focus on things you want to learn first

2020-12-09 20:46:56 UTC

it just seems like there's a million controls in HOI4 that are very complex

2020-12-09 20:47:12 UTC

Not really

2020-12-09 20:47:16 UTC

I'm too old for super extensive learning curves

2020-12-09 20:47:25 UTC

I could host a MP game to show you the ropes

2020-12-09 20:47:35 UTC

you can be two (or more in one nation)

2020-12-09 20:47:55 UTC

And for first game, be the US, it should be easy enough

2020-12-09 20:48:27 UTC

yeah, nothing to do for the first 10+ minutes
