i dont understand how people can try to force people to believe not provable stuff
church of christ
They don’t participate in facts over feelings that’s why
It’s been ingrained in their head, they can’t help it
I mean it goes in all directions. atheists trying to convince religious people and vice versa seems like there isnt going to be a consensus.
the same can be said for atheism. You only believe that way because some militant atheist beat it into your head that theres no plausible way theres a higher power
Yes of course. That’s with any religion, but if we’re singling out a religion.. I’m gonna talk about that topic lol
I didn’t mention it not going both ways.
You weren’t implying that was me, but, just for fun I’ve become an atheist on my own lols

Just gonna talk here for a bit
My mom is very agnostic,
Father Christian
So this is a phase for you?
Not a phase,
I’m not influenced by what they do lol
I have a mind of my own,
thats what most teenagers say
They could tell me everyday I was a Christian. And I’d have evidence to back up the fact I’m very not Christian
youll be a different person when your 21 unless they didnt spank you enough
My mom very much hit me enough lol
I bet
being hit enough could also make one believe in god less, since why would god allow them to get beaten every day?
I’ve always tried to be a religious person.
Victim mentality can be blamed for that
I have a pretty foul mouth, I don’t dress modestly. And I always find myself feeling like an idiot when I even attempt to say “I am (religion)”
Not saying that’s all religion is
its usually about values over specific stories
I don’t think I have a victim mentality, then again that’s what a victim would say.
Saying "someone did X to me so thats why im Y" is a victim mentality
i mean, for me i believe in a more holistic view of god, but its more like the fabric of reality is god, and everything, including us, is a part of it
the flow of atoms and consciousness is god
Oh hell no. I always give reasoning but I make sure to tell them. “This is an answer to why I did (thingy) but it’s not an excuse for me doing (thingy)”
I always tell people my reasoning. But I make sure they know I’m not justifying it.
Im just gonna go out on a limb, you seem nice but im sure your parents are religious and they want you to be but because your a rebellious teen your just trying to go against the grain in your life.
My mom is agnostic lol. She doesn’t practice any religion but doesn’t deny that god could exist
My dad is a Christian. My step dad is agnostic.
I don’t speak to my dad so he can have no influence on me
And my step dad turns away from talking about religion and politics with me
not speaking to your dad is still an influence, to be fair
